Don't be pushed around by a trainer

Be led by your workout program, not someone else's.

If a trainer insists on changing programs for reasons other than a change in training need or goals/objectives, back off, try it for a couple of sessions, and get a new trainer. My trainer was a real pain most of the time, and I ended up quitting a month after he came "on board."

The thing is that I was paying for his services. I knew enough about jumping rope and nutrition to do what he recommended if he was doing a fine job of explaining why and how. He gave me no guidance in the area of supplements, other than that I must drink lots of water (huh!). I think he may have believed that I would drink more if he took the time to suggest that I take up a water sport. What a joke.

I'm better off doing what I want, and doing it well. I have found that I can generally work out when and where ever I want to. Sometimes, I go to the gym, but just as often I grab the training jump rope when I pass by. The rope jumping alone is great for my body and mind. So, what are you waiting for? Get out and get active!
