The best training is not to be like your enemy

Most people with no training, goals, or aspirations take it one day at a time.

The trick is finding the momentum of consistency. I think your training program needs to change the focus. It needs to focus on the “must-do” task instead of focusing on the end result.

In this day and age, there is a lot of pressure to set goals so people are compelled to keep going to meet the goals. I’m guilty of trying to set goals that don’t make sense and not following through on them. I’ve had a lot of students who have “saved” the gym from getting closed and it’s hard to get them back on task. I’m not alone. This is why I like training. As long as the training is focused on the end result, people will be going to their objectives. They don’t need to set goals or look to the end goal.

consistency

That’s why training should be focused on the why. If you are a athlete then the training needs to focus on what you are going to do. If you want to be a rope jumper you need to get the best jump rope and start practicing!
